Soil, Rock and Materials Testing
The company's laboratories adjoin the head office premisis and are well equipped facilities for soil, rock and material testing. Soils are tested in accordance with BS1377 and the full range of tests are available.
The company runs a modern testing facility including triaxial, shear box and consolidation capabilities and undertakes testing on a subcontract basis for other site investigation contractors.
The laboratories rock testing capabilites have recently been expanded to include Unconfined Compressive Strength, Rock shearbox and Brazilian tensile strength tests
In-Situ Testing
We are also able to carry out a large range of testing on site including: -
- CBR.
- Borehole Permeability tests (falling head, rising head, constant head and packer testing).
- Plate Bearing.
- Soakaway testing.
- Density testing using a Nuclear density gauge or sand replacement method.
